who we are
ACC Hong Kong is a partner foundation of Asian Cultural Council Inc. founded by J D Rockefeller 3rd in 1963. The ACC began its Hong Kong program and ACC Hong Kong Friends’ Committee in 1986 with the help of Kenneth H.C. Fung and J. S. Lee. They were joined by a group of friends who were passionate about the arts, and dedicated to enriching access and development of culture in Hong Kong. Hans Michael Jebsen succeeded Mr Fung as the Chairman of ACC Hong Kong in 2003 with Lady Ivy Wu and Marissa Fung Shaw as Co-Chairs.
Today, ACC is headquartered in New York with its regional office in Tokyo and partner foundations in Hong Kong, Manila and Taipei. ACC Hong Kong oversees the ACC fellowship program principally in Hong Kong, as well as other regions in China and Asia.

The Asian Cultural Council (HK) Foundation Limited was formally registered in 2015 as a non-profit organization in Hong Kong and listed as a charity in Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance. Through our educational programs of cultural exchange, ACC continues to nurture and support talented artists, arts professionals, and scholars in both visual and performing arts.
The first Directors are Hans Michael Jebsen (Chairman), Marissa Fung Shaw, Wendy O’Neill, Miho Walsh and John Witt who are supported by a generous group of local donors. At the same time, the ACC Hong Kong Patrons’ Circle was established under the leadership of Jean Ho and Marissa Fung Shaw with the support from Tasha Lalvani, Janet Nathanail and Anne Witt.
