Takashi Murakami – Visual Artist 1994 Fellow, Japan
Takashi Murakami was awarded an ACC fellowship in 1994 to participate in the International Studio Program at PS 1 in New York. He is internationally known as the inventor of ‘Superflat’, an art style influenced by Japanese anime and manga. His work has been made popular through his numerous international shows and in particular, his collaborations with Louis Vuitton.
