Shen Wei is Founder and Director of Shen Wei Dance Arts who was awarded an ACC fellowship in 1995 to attend the American Dance Festival. He has since emerged as one of the leading Chinese choreographers on the international circuit and has received numerous prestigious awards including the Nijinsky Award for Emerging Choreographer in 2004 and the 2007 MacArthur Fellowship. In 2008, Mr. Shen was one of the principal choreographers for the 2008 Beijing Olympics Opening Ceremony.
